Senior backend engineer turned AI-native builder. Seven years shipping production payment and platform systems before pivoting into agentic engineering full time.

I left OKX in May 2026 and went all-in on agentic engineering: MCP servers, multi-agent orchestration, LLM-app architecture, the patterns that hold up outside a demo. I run all of it off a five-machine, Nix-managed homelab (Caddy reverse proxy, self-hosted git, Pi-hole DNS, Home Assistant, ZFS-replicated storage) that doubles as a daily proving ground for whatever I'm building right now.

I got here sideways, and it set a pattern I still run on: go to where the problem actually lives, get hands-on, own it end to end. Before software, that meant supervising measurement-while-drilling operations on Wyoming oil rigs, then writing coreboot and UEFI firmware for embedded x86 boards, then an HPC internship at Cray building an ELK-stack log-analysis pipeline. A master's in computer science at UW-Madison (distributed systems, machine learning, big data) turned that into a real engineering career: three years on QuickBooks' webhooks infrastructure at Intuit (10-20M notifications a day at 99.9% reliability), then four years on OKX's fiat payments platform (30+ payment providers across APAC, EU, and the US), where I led the platform's largest architectural effort. Something like a forward-deployed engineer before the term existed.
